Here's to a good game tonight. I posted in the Canucks' GDT, but I'll add here - Steen has assumed the role of "Chief Canucks' Killer", with 9 goals in 16 career games against the Canucks. Oshie has 13 points in 14 games, and McDonald has 29 points in 34 games against the Canucks.

Blues still need to get better at playing all 3 periods. I am worried about this game with the way we've been playing and Vancouver looking to redeem a rough loss at home to Dallas.

It seems like the Blues have played a total of only 2 good periods in recent memory. The 2nd period in Detroit and the 1st period in Calgary. Hopefully these past 2 wins get the Blues back playing like they can.

Big test! One of the teams that we have to beat if we want to be a Cup contender. If we play well, win or lose, I will start to believe the Blues are out of their slump.

Is Allen earning himself a spot on the Blues roster going forward or will he be a footnote. Hoping for another solid game tonight from him.

Two things are going on in this thread I can't explain. First, one of the bottom 5 songs ever recorded is the title of this thread and there's a video link, and there are people missing the game for one of the worst shows to ever appear on TV, much less be popular. Walking Dead is has the worst writing, some of the worst, most wooden acting, the worst pacing (hey let's all stand and talk to each other uninterestingly all episode every episode and sometimes shoot zombies in the same way) in telvision history. This is coming from a person who watched two full seasons of it.

So We Didn't Start the Fire and Walking Dead pretty much deserve a loss for the Blues. How come The Rocketeer or a clip of Jar-Jar Binks isn't included here?

Looking forward to this one, I hope there's a full 60 minutes played and that Allen has another strong game. Also banking on at least 3 points from Steen :sarcasm:

You guys aren't watching Walking Dead the right way. You have to dvr the entire episode and then watch it, and fast forward until there is zombie killing. It turns into a great show haha

How Dare You!!!! I love the Walking Dead (not gonna miss the Blues game for it, thats what DVR is for)

I mean its zombies....
every week....

To each his own but I will not stand here and let you bismirch the good name of the Walking Dead sir. What did the Walking Dead ever do to you?

:D

and so I am on topic. I said multiple times in the Calgary GDT I didnt like how complacent the Blues became later in the game. We can not do that against the Canucks, they have the talent to burn us and throw up a ton of goals quick.

Going to agree with the Walking Dead comments. Most people like it because they are still riding the Zomebie hype, not because it's actually a good show. Like I said it's one hour of closeups on Rick's face sweating lol. Just a very boring show. And I too watched the first 2 season before saying "No thanks"

Uh, am I missing something, but why do we have every player's picture? Shouldn't we be missing some??!?!?!?!

Vancouver is one of my favorite arenas to watch a game on TV. I just like it.

This should be a tough test for Allen and the whole team. Not expecting a win, but maybe they'll pleasantly surprise me. Hopefully Steen can continue playing well - he usually does against Vancouver - and it looks like Reaves could have a few potential dancing partners. Should be an interesting game.

Go Blues!

Halak is backing up Allen tonight..

Have to play devil's advocate for a minute.

So when Elliott was stinking to high heaven and no threat to Halak's starting job, and a lost, demoralized, team in front of him were giving up 5 or more goals a game; Halak was too hurt to play and possibly weeks not days away.

Now, Allen has been sharp, and the team looks revigorated and refocused in front of him, and Halak's groin is miraculously cured.

Add in Oshie's comment about Halak not wanting to play, and I think an argument can be made that Halak was more hurt than injured.
