It was okayish looking first period, If we dont count our awful powerplay. Third 5vs3 in 3 games and 0 goals in those. Wake up!

Soderberg and Comeau did great job on penalty kill in the last minutes..

Well that was a terrible period to watch. Avs didn't do anything really at even strength or the PP.

Not a very good period overall. Sucks when the PP is this poor.

Ok. So we got somewhere at the end. The best breakout in the period during the PK where someone passed to mack and he skated it up ice himself into a scoring area and took a shot and missed the net.

We had two great forechecking moments, both lead to scoring chances. Landy with a steal and quick shot that missed the net. Another on the PK again with comeau hassling the puck carrier and forcing a turnover to Soders who takes a shot and... and... AND!!!! .... misses the net.

So maybe we forecheck like crazy for the rest of the game. Just don't let them get the same time in the offensive zone they had in the first. Because we can't get the puck back the other way it seems. So lets not let it get there in the first place. forecheck, force them to turn it over instead of us. Hit the net. That's my gameplan.
