2 years 6.5 million bridge deal. First year 2.25 million and second year at 4.25 bringing up the qualifying offer. Hopefully Therrien is fired after this season or during and the kid breaks out and gets a long term deal.

If we're lucky, kid signs for less on the condition that the coach gets turfed...

Pipe dreams. Both Therrien and DD will stay until Galchenyuk is 26, and by then he is established as our second line winger, called a bust for being a 55 point player and not being a superstar. Then he departs as soon as UFA hits.

I need to go throw up from just reading that.. I'll be right back.

I figure he'll get 3.5 x 2 and I expect it to happen quickly now that he's got Brisson. We'll see.

Nice, he now have the best agent in the industry! People need to stop turning everything into drama.

Also, I can't wait for the day both DD and Therrien aren't part of the organization anymore.

I expect a 2 yea deal at just under 6M total

Something like 5.85M for 2 years

Similar to the bridge deal Subban signed

And then I expect to participate in endless debates about how Bergevin low balled him and how he'll walk away as a UFA a few years from now

Should be fun :)

Maybe Chucky wishes his dad was Diddy. Go after Therrien with a kettlebell for more playing time.

Should get gone pretty soon and it kinds of put Larionov comment in perpective, if Galchenyuk wasn't liscenting to is agent and turn around and sign with Brisson, MB old agent and good freind.

Brission and Bergevin are really close friends (from an artice by stubbs I believe last year or so), so if Gally thinks change his agents is going to effect the Habs he is nuts.

This kid is not very bright it seems, I mean if this was a guy like Eller who never gets top 6 minutes, no pp time I would full understand..

This ****ing guy literally has never been benched, wtf is he talking about, he took THREE, THREE, offensive-neutral penalties in a layoff game vs Tampa and has not benched and even played his regular pp minutes.

This past year he has always played top 6 minutes, I can't think of 1 time he got benched.

Btw before anyone complains about MT not playing his "natural" position, the guy was playing LW in his last year in juniors, and was used only at LW at the World Juniors for U.S.A

Centre is his natural positions as much as it is for Markov.

If I'm Eller I'd slap the kid for complaining..

I read this stats from twitter so I can't confirm 100%, but it seem when Gally played those 13-14 games at centre, after his hatrick vs the Canes, he had 1 goal in 9 games, and his corsi has bad in those games..

Yeah, for all we know Galchenyuk wants some term on his deal and is willing to take less money.

If it's a bridge deal, should be done quickly.

I don't really know what to make of this. Wind the clock back three years and bridge deals were team policy, as per Bergevin. But now he gave 6 years to Gallagher, so who knows?

Maybe not on that AAV, but both sides would benefit from a long term deal.

Not at all. Galchenyuk should accept a bridge deal so that he can prove he's better than what we've seen so far and then sign a much bigger contract in a couple of years. It would only be beneficial for him to sign a long term deal if it's already north of 6M$ a year or so and it doesn't make sense for the Habs to give him that kind of money before they know if he's really gonna become as good as we all hoped he would.

Totally different situation than with Gallagher where you know what you gonna get.

You don't know what really happened between him and larionov.
For all we know, maybe Galchenyuk really wants to play for Montreal, and he didn't like the way Larionov was approaching the negociations. I am pretty sure he is well aware that Brisson is a close friend with Bergevin. Brisson is also Pacioretty agent. He is the best and most known agent in the industry, he is a professional, and I doubt that he would risk losing clients in order to satisfy his friends. That being said, them being friend most likely will make the negociations go smoother, which is always a good thing for both the player and the team.

Don't talk out of your ass.

If the contract Brisson got for DD Is a precedent, the Habs will get pantsed and will be in cap Hell for the next few years...

well clearly the Igor thinks the reason Gally left is because he wouldn't take his advice on how to mature as a player, all I'm saying is if Gally thinks that Brission is going to Bergevin and ask that Gally gets top minutes all the pp time and the coach he wants he is dumbass.

Funny I believe it was Lebrun or Bobby Mac that said a week or two ago, that Gally had some growing up to do, none of us real thought much of it at the time, but I guess its clear now what they were referring too.

He doesnt deserve more than Gallagher money. 3.5 for 2 years (3.5 each year) is my guess to what he was offered.
