Given the NHL team's struggles, is it best for him to stay with the Baracuda and develop chemistry with potential future teammates like Mukhamadullin, Bystedt and Halttunen or would he help solve the Sharks' problems?

And if he is promoted, which former Devil is demoted/released?
There is no need to rush him in the NHL this season. As mentioned, Sharks' defence is ass and Askarov is no savior to the team. I'm sure he'll get his starts here and there in the NHL and is the first call up if one of Blackwood or Vanecek get injured.

Blackwood has been worse so far, but it's only been two games.

On one hand, I don't want to expose Askarov to the Sharks' defense. On the other... if he keeps playing like this with the Cuda, it's hard to justifying not promoting him. He's been so good.
