Played a career-high 45 regular season games for Brynas in 2021-22 after not signing a contract with the Maple Leafs. He also played all three playoff games with one shutout.

It doesn't appear he is signed for the upcoming season.

Where does he fit among the available free agent goalies in Europe?

I could see him being considered as an AHL starter and then given an opportunity to win the back up role. I don’t think anyone will give him much higher than that. From the Sharks alone, Mann and Melnichuk were similar (ish) and Mann just signed so no evidence yet but pencilled in as the AHL starter and Melnichuk was an absolute disaster.

Who knows, maybe something's changed and he's ready to be an AHL backup.

He was... not very good, when he was here. Which was extremely disappointing.
