Seem like he had a great game. Came in with his team down 1-4, pitched a 27 minute shutout and then this stop to win it in the SO.

Earned his first KHL shutout win today, as he stopped 32 shots.

He seems to have taken a big step this season. The Kraken aren't exactly swimming in goalie prospects so hopefully he continues the growth.

One of the most underrated prospects out there? Huge breakout season by Vyazovoy.
Interesting also to see that Vyazovoy has excelled at every level he's played, even though he's been brought along conservatively and only became a full time KHLer this season at 21. Has good size and height for the position as well (6'3).

Gives us a much needed good goalie prospect. We do have Kokko in the AHL already but Vyazovoy has statistically been great this season.

I'm not sure, but it looks like they wanted to give some starts in a row to Samonov, so he would regain confidence and moved Vyazovoy to the VHL so he would have some game practice during that. Now he is back in the KHL and I highly doubt he is getting sent down again.
