I was unable to find a thread and I think this kid is probably deserving of one. Might be the best goalie prospect to come out of Québec for quite a while. Certainly playing on a much higher level than fellow 2025 draft eligible Gabriel D'Aigle.

EP has him listed as 6'2"/194 lbs but he looks bigger...probably more like 6'3" and 200 lbs+. I don't think he's quite Ravensbergen level but certainly a similar story in the sense that he's yet another big and athletic goalie prospect who kinda came out of nowhere (at least for me).

Had a rough start to the season but, with Kyle Hagen unavailable, the Huskies had no choice but to ride him and it did pay dividends. Meloche has been standing on his head for five games straight which is why I decided to create this thread. If he can keep this up then he'll go fairly early in the upcoming draft. Born in late July so he'll be one of the younger 2025 draft eligible kids. With that in mind, his play so far this season is really impressive.

Having himself quite a rookie season so far, clearly outplaying veteran Kyle Hagen despite being more than two years younger. Shouldering the heaviest workload leaguewide so far with 855 mins played. It's not often you see a rookie goalie lead the league in TOI. Earned his 2nd shutout of the season on the 2nd night of a back to back tonight when he made 20 saves in Saint John. 2,42 GAA and a save percentage of 90,9% are more than solid stats for a rookie goalie. He's trending nicely after a weak start:

September: 230:47 4.42 0.841
October: 498:46 2.05 0.927
November: 125:00 0.48 0.974

Given a C rating by Central Scouting on their preliminary list but I wouldn't be shocked to see him become the top goalie prospect of the upcoming draft behind Ravensbergen. He's certainly the most interesting 2025 draft eligible goalie prospect out of the QMJHL.

This kid has been an absolute beast and workhorse for the Huskies. Still leading the league in minutes played as a rookie goaltender and lost only one (!) game in regulation. Funny enough, even in that one regulation loss, a 0-1 vs Drummondville, he actually played like a mad man, stopping 29 of 30 shots and was only named 2nd star of the game because Drummondville's overager goalie Riley Mercer posted a 35 saves shutout.

Kyle Hagen was let go by the Huskies and with unproven Samuel Carreiras now his backup, Meloche, in his rookie season, will continue to be the workhorse of the Q. Playing a road back to back this weekend. Played 65mins plus shootout yesterday in Gatineau and starting again today in Drummondville in the battle for 1st place in the Western conference. Despite the heavy workload still only the one loss after 60' but Drummondville might beat him again tonight because of the rather unkind schedule.
