19 year old Michael Simpson has put up back to back goalie of the month in the OHL. (April and October)

Surprised there isn't a thread yet.

Given that goalies develop later, he may be one to watch out for throughout the season. If he keeps this up, he will be getting an invite to some pro camps next year.

Any thoughts from those in the know?

This kid has been outstanding this year. Undrafted, but must be earning a pro camp invite somewhere.

Was looking into the progress of Chase Stillman and noticed Simpson's numbers (particularly his workload).

Are there glaring deficiencies or size issues that have prevented him from being drafted to this point? Or is it merely the uncertainty of the goaltending position?

Memorial Cup shutout for London tonight. Seems like both he and Drummondville's Riley Mercer have flown under the radar.

Didn't realize he attended Penguins development camp last summer. Any chance he signs an entry level or AHL contract or is he headed to USport?

I don't think there's anything to see here. At least not in terms of NHL upside. Been fairly inconsistent all season long and previously for the Petes as well. Has been inconsistent during playoffs as well.

03 born so he's an overager and very much expected to be dominant which frankly isn't always the case. He's rather small as well. Might have a nice pro career elsewhere but I don't think he's gonna make it to the NHL.
