He completely out dueled the highly touted D'Aigle. Made 40 of 43 saves. He's a little small and he seems to give up some weaker goals, but he's capable of spectacular saves and as he did for Canada Black can steal a game. Hockey Canada is listing him at 5'10, but EP says 6'0. I think the Hockey Canada listings for this tournament seem a little off. He's probably about 6'0.

Committed to play at Nebraska-Omaha. He'd probably be playing QMJHL otherwise. Cape Breton has his rights and took him second round. I don't know that he'll be a high pick between being small and not playing major junior, but neither did Devon Levi. He has some Levi in his game. Also a late August birthday, so he's probably going to be one of the younger prospects in the 2024 draft.

He’s looking really solid so far. And for D’aigle I’ve seen this before, an extremely hyped up goalie puts on their countries jersey and underperforms. I think there’s extra pressure on D’aigle to preform and assuming he’s given another chance will probably do better. I think people come to conclusions about prospects alittle too quickly, where instead we can see potential and be patient. This is also another example of size bias tho. Instead of just acknowledging cloutiers game, we discus his lack of size, even tho he had the results, and D’aigle might get alittle extra love because of his size. Just my opinion, but I think both have massive potential.

It isn't getting much talk, but he's 9th of 32 qualifying goalies in the USHL in SV% at .896 (goalies don't stop shots in this league).

He has the highest SV% of all the 2024 draft-eligibles in the league, and his SV% is 23 points better than the other goalie on the team.

He's grown from 6'0 to 6'2 in the last year and a half, and is one of the youngest 2024 draft eligibles.

Could he be the best goalie in this draft?

My review of what I've watched from him this season. Has a .903 in 26 games.

Very good hockey sense for a goalie. Moves pretty well. Well-positioned. He gets beat too much with clean shots. Needs to work on his glove hand and probably his concentration, but I think he shows good potential and should probably be one of the first 5 goalies off the board this year. Probably like a 3rd or 4th round level of pick.
