Few questions i'd like to know the answers to :

Says hometown; Shanghai, China, was he born in China?
Eliteprospects lists him as Chinese, is he really Chinese, or is he a Canadian?
Is his real (birth) name Louis? - the reason why i didn't write Louis in the title
because i don't know is that his actual first name

Of course his first name wasn't Louis. But I think you could call him Louis, Chinese people working or studying overseas always get an English name, because their names are difficult to pronounce correctly.

lmao NHL announcers can't even pronounce Swedish names correctly and Swedish is a Germanic language, imagine them attempting a very highly tonal, non-Indo-European language like Mandarin or Cantonese.

Someone explain the concept of immigration to GeorgeLeafer, Or that people can have dual nationalities, and that Canada is a nation of many nationalities and backgrounds. :sarcasm:
Yeah...

I havent found any information
about him, that's why i am asking.

Its not like hometown specifies a lot.
Were was he born? couldn't find that,
couldn't find enough i formation to confirm his nationality.

If i would have claimed that he was chinese, someone would have said he is not chinese, he is canadian.

Eliteprospects says he is chinese, csshl does not give information about his nationality.

Again, that was the reason i was asking, sure you are joking.. but could you just not, its stupid and time wasting.

In the todays world its weird that there is no info of that simple information.

Just a good keeper of his 2007 generation regionally. He's not a goalkeeper who will have a professional career. Brant Catellier is much more interesting as a profile.

but Catellier is such a small goalie, also he wasn't drafted to the CHL Gu was drafted and he is 6 foot 2, where as Catellier is what? 5 foo 9, 5 foot 10?

Yes I thought about the size factor but I told myself that if the data is from last year - we can have a guy who can go 6-1. Louis Gu was drafted by who and at what rank ?

Yuxiang is his real first name. Plans to go to college in the US, but remains to be seen if he can find a hockey program there.
