Seems to have been injured at the most inopportune times twice now. We'll see if he can put the injuries behind him and keep progressing. I still have hopes he becomes an NHLer.

The sharks have brutal luck with AHL goalies so my gut says he’s gone in a year, but always nice to hope he can keep getting better!

After his NHL debut against the Nucks a couple of days ago (he started the 3rd period down 4-3 and the Sharks lost 6-5 in OT), Makiniemi got his first win in his first NHL start, 6-1 against the Ducks (queue the „it was not against an NHL team“ jokes).

Impressive debut, he looked very calm
