Pavel Buchnevich
"Pavel Buchnevich The Fake"
Only 7 games, but his .919 SV% would be tied for best in the league. Only one other guy in the league has played more than 1 game and has better than a .906 in the USHL, so he could fall back a long way and still have very good numbers for the USHL. Had a .923 SV% in the NAHL this season prior to joining Youngstown, so his numbers aren't a big fluke.
What I like most is that he’s very explosive. Can make a lot of difficult saves, and steal a game for you. Not that out of control or wild. He’s only 6’1, but 6’1 isn’t that small anymore. He’s old for this draft and only joined a USHL team a month ago, so he has less exposure from the scouts, but I think if he keeps this up the rest of the season he should be drafted.
