As a Hawk fan this feels like a very big whiff by organization

Goalies are always risky, but man has he struggled

He is only 20 but so far there is very little since draft to give Hawks/Hawk fans confidence he can turn things around

Gajan was getting a lot of hype prior to the draft, but that was mostly because of his World Junior performances. His DY (2021-22) was mostly spent in the Slovak junior league where he was just fine & thus went undrafted. His D+1 (2022-23) was split between the NAHL (where he was very good, not elite) and the USHL (where he was just ok in a limited sample). His league play never suggested being taken that high, especially not ahead of Augustine and Fowler.
