You scratch your rookie 1st rounder two games into a season where you've played him with NHL/AHL-tweeners, one of said games where he played 4:33? For what? Why is here?

Better scratch your recent first round pick who you are for some reason playing as 4C... That'll fix it.

I'm lower on Rossi than probably anyone on here. But even I'll say, that unless he's injured/ill they are doing him dirty.

Probably...if nothing else, it's sending a strong message to some of the forwards that they can be replaced.

TBH, I don't see what replacing a 4th liner who got 4-6 minutes TOI last night is gonna do, and Shaw isn't good for much else. You could say that Evason wants to move up Rossi, but that would be kinda strange, considering he gave him all of 4 1/2 minutes of ice time last game.

Ohh...just read that they are scratching Rossi.

So coaches whine about losing 50/50 pucks and then the plan is to elevate Jost to 1C? He has won about 7 puck battles his entire career.

And Hartman? He’s been our worst skater the last 2 games IMO and that’s saying something.

Definitely a curious decision to scratch Rossi. It seems the company line is tough love for him and they are going to make him force way up. One would think leading league in preseason scoring would give him more rope but guess not.
