I believe Buffalo hasn't gotten a 1st overall since 1987, Turgeon.. correct me if I'm wrong.
4 players in top 50 prospects isn't bad though.

Sabres should hire another GM for NHL free agency and contracts, let Darcy worry about the draft.

Pretty high for Foligno in my opinion, not that I'm complaining. Nice to be in the top 7, probably will end up top 5 if we end up with a top pick.

I think we have 3 potential top six forwards in Grigorenko, Armia and Catenacci. And a couple of ideal 3rd line forwards in Marcus Foligno and Zemgus Girgensons. On Defence, Pysyk, McNabb and McCabe project to fill the #3-5 defensive slots. Gauthier-Leduc could be an ideal #7 Defenceman that can hopefully become a Power Play leader one day. On this grim day, there is still hope.

Gauthier-Leduc has the tools to be better than just a #7.

He could be a top line Defenceman. It would be awesome if he developed into that role. But as the team's 8th ranked prospect I think he is a few years away from being a huge contributor. Ultimately, I am excited for the future of this franchise. Its the Present that is hard to watch.

Wait, what? JGL as a top line defenseman? I don't know how he was in junior but it looks like Chinese fire drill every time he's on the ice with the Amerks.

Top 6 potential but I don't think his shot will ever tip the top 6, additionally his skill set is ideal for a 3c. Really like him but have never been as high on his point producing abilities.

Which month will this article be published in for the magazine? I'll go out and buy it, seems like an interesting read. Thanks!

Hopefully it's not copyright if I post here, but Edmonton has the #1 prospect pool. Followed by Ducks, Wild, Panthers, Jets, Sens, and then us.

I think the Jets are wayyyyyy too high to be in the top 5. Sure, they have Scheifele and Trouba, but that's it. No other prospects they have now are on track to make a large NHL impact.
