Sometimes you just feel bad for the other team. I like that Keefe cut down the ice time for his top players after the 1st period.

He just turned 26 after the cutoff date, I get he is technically a rookie, but the age limit should be lower. Not to mention he played 26 game already over 2 seasons. Had Bunting played 1 more game in 2018-2019 season he would have been ineligible....and had he been borne 2 days earlier he would also have become ineligible...lol. So no it's not remotely the same as Raymond. If I am voting that would weigh heavily on my decision. Just like games played for McDavid was too low to get him the Calder, even though he was the best rookie that year - no disrespect to a 25 year old Panarin.

You don't have to like it but rules are rules ace.

Bunting is a rookie, and a pretty good one apparently.

Good sign is Holl has picked up his game.

In the last 10 games he has 1g, 5 pts and is a +10.

Matches the eye test for me. And yes, I know before anyone says it.....
Yup I'd agree with you on this one. He actually seems to look really comfortable with Sandin on that second pair.

I honestly think we should pull Liljegren on that second pair when Muzz comes back and drop Holl down with Sandin. I think that would be a balance I'd love to give a shot. I know Keefe has experimented with this in practice and a game or 2, but I really think that would be a combo that works well

Great team effort. Gotta love big guns just absolutely overwhelming teams.

Good rebound for Campbell

1 critique is that I think Dermott is done. This guy just never looks like more than a #7Dman

I enjoyed watching this complete effort. Campbell redeeming himself was great. Team played with focus and intensity.

First line was beasting. Second line wasn't good offensively but they get a pass. Been a weird January. Tough to get into a groove.

Devils were terrible. Have to mention that. Leafs weren't particularly tested this game but stayed focused.

Good win.

See you all on the other side of the allstar break

Definitely a good sign.

It's ridiculous how many people were ready to "fire him into the sun". Everyone has their ups and downs and if we ditched everyone who went through a bad stretch, we wouldn't have anyone left. Holl playing better is HUGE, defence is clearly where we seemed to be most vulnerable with the downturn of Muzzin and Holl but if they can get back to being close to what they were last year and our D stays healthy, we should be good. Fingers crossed ...

Wow not even 5 pages after that drubbing.

Hope we're not getting bored with winning. ;)
Fanbase prefers being oppositional, maybe 75-25.
Good game, stomped a team in circumstances they should.
Hughes spoiled it a smidge with a snipe.

Holl plays better when he stays back and focuses in on his defensive positioning and shot blocking .. then he can play on bottom pair .. but when he starts to think he is Bobby Orr he becomes an ECHLer .. bottom line we are not winning squat in playoffs with Holl in a top 4 role .. but if Dubie believes it he will find out pretty quick with his FIRING papers after we are out in round 1 again

Great game by team last night .. i wonder if Willy is hurt .. past 3 games he has not even tried .. can't understand it .. 4 games ago against Ducks he was our best player .. then he goes completely invisible .. real mind bender to me

Pierre Engvall has been playing lights out in recent games and has put together his best play since joining the club … his positioning down to the 4th line was a great move by the coach and Pierre has played terrific .
He can now be rotated in the bottom 6 with confidence and also play on the PK …
Good for Pierre he has earned it .
I hope it continues, as it would be a huge bonus for us to have a solid 4th line that can score as well and with some size …
Go Leafs Go

That was what the Monday game should have looked like... but very doubtful you get 2 games with that kind of result back-to-back.

Interesting comments by Ray on the broadcast saying how the comeback on the previous night would have just killed the belief in the Devils room. He also made a great comment that I am 100% guilty of... when you watch every game of a specific team, you start seeing every minute detail, especially on the negative side and tend to undervalue all the positives you are also seeing but not focusing on.

29-10-3 after 42 games with a +41 goal differential... amazing!! Can still tidy up a few things, but the team is trending the way we want... really hoping these results can carry forward come May 2nd.

Enjoy the All-Star break homies and see ya on the flip side!

The boys have been on fire. Hope all of y'all are enjoying.

Havent been able to watch the boys the past month, too bad stupid break is coming between this hot run.

Go Leafs Go baby!

Yep, Holl is back to being very good...even with Muzzin out of the lineup.

Leaf fans would be much better off if they listened only to Ray and not the talking heads blathering on their radios all day.

If he keeps this up Bunting will still get rookie of the year. Then when someone he does like that's 25 or 26 the rule will be changed then we got to listen to it again.

Yes yes and yes. Grass is always greener. I'm sure if the majority of us actually watched Florida and Carolina games, we would see warts and some brutal play at times as well.
