Its been a crazy run we've been on since November. I keep expecting some form of regression but they don't stop winning regardless of it lol

ye the regression has actually happened but we are winning while not playing our best. i didnt expect that.

That record just looks unreal. It doesn't even feel like we have such an amazing record. Just crazy stuff.

I am currently studying in New Jersey, so I attended the game. Kinda felt like a preseason game tbh, low intensity play overall. It was embarrassing for NJ on multiple fronts. Obviously the score and play on the ice. But probably 40-50% of the arena was Leafs fans and there were more frequent and louder "Go Leafs Go" chants than the other way around, even before the game started becoming a blowout.

ye the regression has actually happened but we are winning while not playing our best. i didnt expect that.

I think a couple factors play into why:

1.) Other players have stepped up. For instance, with JT/Willy's struggles we've seen Matthews and Marner hit another level. Guys like Engvall and Mikheyev are providing depth production as well to compensate
2.) Good special teams. Even with Soup struggling we're not getting burned on the PK. Marner's impact here cannot be understated, he's absolutely elite and even generates offense on the kill
3.) The Leafs can turn it "on" in a dramatic way. We'll be trash for 40 minutes but the last 20 we can light the lamp in a way only a few other teams can (Colorado/FLA/TB)

Essentially, this team is finding ways to win even when they aren't on their A game. A very good sign, but I hope we clean it up a bit as we ramp up to the postseason
