Free NHL Gamecenter to make it up to fans?

Is the NHL going to do something like what the NBA did in giving fans the ability to watch games online for free for the first 2 weeks or so of games last year after the end of the NBA lockout. I know teams are doing stuff like free tickets to games/free food, but that involves going to the teams stadium which many of us can't do or can't be bothered to go there.
