I'm not worried about this year - Kakko really has no leverage other than an offer sheet that's not coming. Hopefully he stays relatively injury free and takes a step forward. Success would be the best medicine for him.

Its done in that hes already decided its the devs. Agent probably squeezing out a couple extra bucks and ntc/nmc. I was told its 7x11.5 last week. We’ll see where it lands. He wouldve gone to philly at a discount but the gap was too large $$$ wise between njd and philly. Only 2 teams he even seriously considered. And again, you still talk to all others to get leverage and more $$$.

I offered people last week itd be devs or philly and +500 odds. Now ill offer devs and you get +1000 odds for the field any amount of money people want to bet

Whats the Scoop? Kakko is unhappy with the Rangers? I didn't see that other then board chatter.
 
Pretty good day IMO. Didn't like the cost to get rid of Nemeth, like both goalie signings, and while VT was either ideally 500k cheaper or a year or two less, he gives us a legit 2C for the foreseeable future with a contract that is (depending on NMC etc) either movable at the back end, or manageable with the expected rise in the cap in a few seasons.

Will be interesting to see where the wingers line up come opening night, but it should be a very solid roster again.
A year from now is going to be a doozy when we need to make some hard decisions about who stays and goes
 
Fletcher spending all those picks, handing out all those contracts and now he won't move JVR with a 1st attached to sign a free bonafide asset in Gaudreau. My god. It's blinding just to watch that franchise operate.
