I like Emberson, don’t think he is just a contract add. Solid player who can log minutes, not the warrior Lindgren is but not very unlike him either. Ie a solid player.

We need depth at RD, don’t have any after Nils.

I understand that and I said it would be something the organization needs to figure out where the problem lies. But to place the blame, particularly for someone like Lias Andersson, squarely on Drury? That's unfair. Like Lias talked about feeling alone and isolated, having sleeping issues, the foot thing he claimed the team would let him rehab where and when he wanted, being unhappy with his role on the NHL, etc. Like how is that on Drury?

A 4th line of goodrow, hunt, rydahl and reaves is more than okay. We cant afford with this cap to pay motte $2mm to play there. Hes not $1.25 better than hunt. Cap matters

I like Motte but with all the contracts at the top of the lineup the bottom of the lineup has to be cheap. We have guys that can play in that spot, Hunt, Cuylle, Berard etc.

At this point with know GG well enough to know reaves will be a regular. Gallant was a goon himself haha, he values guys like reaves and feels it keeps the team healthy through the year because no one takes run at our guys with him there (despite him barely fighting last year)

Does it matter? We don't have the cap space to do anything else, short of trading Kakko, which would be foolish. We shouldn't need them to be world-beaters for us to make the playoffs. If we need help on the right side, we can add it at the deadline.

It means that he was a defenseman playing big minutes on a bad team.

When one 1st rounder bails....its a weird situation, when 2 bail its a problem, the third one is a massive red flag. No other team has this issue that I'm aware of. We can't just pretend its not a problem and the common denominator in all of them is Drury as everyone else has been let go.

Mottes better but price has to be considered. In a flat cap world when youre up against it, rolling with hunt at $750K over motte at $2mm isnt going to change much for this team other than more cap space to improve the team at the deadline
