shockingly he's already 35, I get a feeling he's at the point in his career where he'll take one-year deals and probably retire at the end of the season if he ever wins a cup.1 year?

shockingly he's already 35 ...
2023 with the Canes has a strong argument as well. 4 one-goal games in the conference final including a 4 OT marathon.Well he was a young starter for the Ducks when they were in the WCF against the Blackhawks, but that was a decade ago. Time flies I guess.
And honestly, that was probably his best shot at a Cup.
I mean if you're going to get hurt that's probably the best time to do so... a nice long recovery time before you need another one.Hopefully he didn’t hurt himself signing the contract.
These contracts for Canes players all look great, build up all that cap room and get rejected by Guentzel and Rantanen, Necas they were like why bother
I mean...eventually Guentzel wanted out. But yeah not at first.
Necas was a rumored trade request going on for a couple of seasons. Necas, however, was totally professional about it and played a great game through it all. Rantanen, though, was the only one whose pouting and floating was all out there for the world to see.
