I mean he's already skating well on the early size of the projected timetable and we have a 2 week break coming up pretty soon. So it makes sense for him to return after the 4 nations thing.

Well depending on how you define "mid feb" I can say pretty confidently that it won't be mid feb, lol. We have no games between 2/8 and 2/22.

Andersen and Tokarski only goalies on the ice at the skate today no kooch. I do remember him looking like he was hurting after that mad scramble in front of the ducks net I believe in the third period

That is so confusing to me.....what are the cap shenanigans specifics on why this approach?

btw: Smith was placed on waivers the other day for a sending down to Chicago but now has cleared and is back up?

edit: per a Walt Ruff post...not cap games but rather to open a spot for Smith.

Nah he makes it through the season plays lights out, goes into the playoffs on a heater and plays like an AHL goalie in the playoffs

Glad to see he was able to get back on the early end of things. I think it's benefical to Kochetkov to have him back and I think he's still the better goalie when healthy.
