If you've missed the "rules", the original thread can be found here.

In this poll - vote for one forward AND one defenseman = two votes in total.

NOTE: In a couple of posts below, you'll find links to the stats (Eliteprospects) of each player in the polls. Those currently in the mix are highlighted in jade colors. It might be helpful for anyone who doesn't remember some of these players, or who wants to refresh their memory.

There's appearntly a limit of 50 images per post. Thus, because of the flags, I'm gonna have to seperate the ranking and teams into a couple of extra posts.

Dollas and Corkum. I barely remember Corkums time here but I remember him in Arizona being a really good defensive C and he put up good point totals here so I went with him.

I have held off from voting for Vishnevsky for awhile here as it has always seemed like there was still some dmen on the list who had a notably greater impact albeit in a shorter tenure. At this point that no longer seems the case, and I think his longevity should win out.

Still going with Grimson up front, no one there was better at filling their respective role in our lineup.

How come a star first line center like Grant hasn't been an option before? :sarcasm:

No one nominated him, and frankly I don't see what he did to earn being ranked above the other centers in this poll.

Van Allen averaged nearly half a point per game and was a +9 over three seasons in Anaheim, during years when the team sucked nonetheless.

Corkum had a 50+ point season in Anaheim.

Drury didn't score much, but played in the Olympics (though it was before NHL'ers participated) as well as in three World Championships for team USA, because he was a defensively responsible center.

I know you used the sarcasm emoji, but with Grant running away with this poll I felt I needed to explain why I added these other centers before him. And I say this as the biggest Grant fan.

Grant winning this is a clear example of recency bias. I don’t even think there’s a case for him being top 3 out of who is left.
