Touching.

A lot of longtime Kings fans never got a chance to see them win their first Cup.

Great find and thanks for sharing this.Fox was right, many have their own reason for supporting hockey and the Kings.I just happened to be at my grandmas house in 82 and was flipping thru the channels and a Kings game was on and I never saw a sport like hockey before.I was so amazed as a child by the sport I was hooked.

That pushes this to my second favorite Jim Fox moment

Class act and one of the best color commentators in the league. Don't get how people can complain about him being obnoxious when there's Olczyk and the entire Penguins broadcast team. And Pierre Mcguire.

What a great interview that I somehow had never seen before.

And I totally get where he is coming from with the "They can never take it away from us" thing.

One of the most frustrating things was having to hear from Red Wings friends saying "Well how many Cups have you won" and then even worse having to hear it from Ducks fans and then when I moved to Chicago right around the time they won their first cup and having to hear it when I went to games here before 2012. Jut never having to hear that again was one of the great things for me about the Kings winning. It's a lot easier to walk into The Joe, or the UC or the Pond and cheer on the Kings knowing your team has reached the top of the mountain twice.

That is why it bothers me and I hate it when I see my some of my fellow Kings fans now using those same lame comments when addressing some other fans or having arguments on messageboards. Using the "Well how many Cups have you won" argument is lame and pathetic and those of us who have been around for awhile should know first hand.

I really enjoyed watching Fox play when I was growing up.
But, honestly, I was not too thrilled at first having him back up Bob.
The matchup of Bob and Nick was great and I was bummed when Nick was moved to radio.
Hearing Fox say "Tweeners" whenever possible drove me nuts!!!
But Fox has grown into, imo, one of the best and him and Bob are a excellent team, as well as Nick and Daryl on the radio. Sure, he may blurt or let a scream out here and there but it just shows how into it he is.
The passion that Fox has for the game and the Kings organization rings through in the 2 videos above (and those occasional screams!), great guy and I guess that why he is my avatar!
I have been spoiled to have Bob as our play-by-play since I started following the Kings in the mid 70's, and I know that day is coming when Bob will hang up the mic, and a sad day that will be, but at least we have a true King in Fox that has been groomed by the best in the business and I believe will be ready to take the reigns when the day comes.

Bob's interview was good, but Foxy's left us speechless.
