Pettersson could probably be had for 4 1sts if Vancouver decides to rebuild. Not super young, but if you’re looking for a 1C in his early 20’s then answer is probably a big NO

Rob Blake would be the GM to target. There was speculation leading to the deadline that that might consider moving Byfield. Insane, but again, Rob Blake.

4 1sts? I’m pretty sure the only centers worth 4 or more 1sts would be McDrai, Mackinnon, Barkov, and Hughes/Matthews aka untouchable. Pettersson 1.5 years ago definitely, certainly ain’t worth 4 1sts with how he’s been this year though.

The team holding the picks matters a lot. Presumably one in each of the rounds would be the acquiring team's first rounder. Most the bad teams that need first line centers, especially rebuilding ones, will still be outside the playoffs with the first line center. Hell Pittsburgh has a good first line center with Crosby and they're one of the worst teams in the league still.

I feel like smart GM’s actually target certain GM’s. Most of the bad GM’s are gone but there are a few you could target. One gm that comes to mind is chevy. Trades laine to kekalainen, trades trouba to Gorton and trades Dubois to Blake. Chevy’s trades seem calculated to me.

Accari is not young, but not old either. Solid PK skillz, good intangibles. On a reasonable cap hit. Every winner can use a guy like this.

Beniers - really wouldn’t think so, would be super surprised.

McTavish - maybe it’s me but I’d guess yeah? Not that they’d want to, just that it could probably happen. I don’t think a full futures offer does anything for them, but it wouldn’t blow my mind to see a hockey trade

Byfield - I don’t understand why they would. He looks great, lots of energy. If they’re trading him I think you need to give them something great back. The bar is high.

Wright - I’d guess yes. It’s a place they could look to when adjusting but I don’t guess that they’d be the one asking to do it. I’d guess if they made a short list of possible big upgrades they wanted and the trading partner had this ask, I could see it

Kuclich - I suppose the Sabres can seem more volatile than others but I don’t think they’d care for picks rn. I’m guessing they’d listen to any hockey trade idea. I don’t think any forward would be truly untouchable, but I’d guess he’s closer than many
