Regarding the table I posted earlier, Maxwell was part of the Canucks for a short time in 1986-87. The earliest fully living Canucks team bumps now all the way to 1999-2000.

Most of it due to Gino Odjick, but other Canucks between those two seasons who are no longer with us include Boyd, Huber, Krutov, Kurvers, Morin, Wickenheiser and Zezel.

I have no memory of seeing Dunc Wilson play, but I do remember seeing photos of him when I was young, and remember that he wore some loud masks.

I also recall some of his hockey cards, and especially this one that included him:

I remember ESPN The Magazine did a feature on him during his Cinderella breakout year around 2000. He was a real sensation there for a bit. Sad to hear.

Quick anecdote regarding Paul Jerrard, I was present when Jerrard scored his only NHL goal - which was called back by Denis Morel. It was in the Chicago Stadium (October 3, 1988), Jerrard and Blackhawks' defenseman Keith Brown were jockeying for position in front of the net, their skates (it appeared to me) incidentally came into contact with one another, causing Brown to fall - just as Neal Broten slipped a backhand pass to Jerrard which he fired by Darren Pang. Referee Morel, apparently only seeing Brown fall, called the goal back and assessed Jerrard a hooking (?!) penalty, wiping out what would have been his first NHL goal. Jerrard played only two more NHL games after that.

Via Larry Elder and James Milks of SIHR, it looks like everyone missed the death of Claude Pronovost on September 1, 2022.

Perhaps best known for his brothers Jean and Marcel, Claude was loaned by the Canadiens to the Bruins on January 14, 1956 to replace an injured Terry Sawchuk, and shut out Montreal, 2-0.

Hartland Monahan, a forward who played 334 games for six NHL teams and was the son-in-law of Hockey Hall of Famer Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion, died Saturday. He was 72.
Selected by the California Golden Seals in the fourth round (No. 43) of the 1971 NHL Draft, Monahan had 141 points (61 goals, 80 assists) for the Golden Seals, New York Rangers, Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues from 1973-81.
His best season was in 1976-77, when he had an NHL career-high 50 points (23 goals, 27 assists) in 79 games with the Capitals.

Gene Carr passes at 72

Gene Carr was a beloved member of the Kings and the hockey community. He was a valuable member of our team in the mid-1970s, and many of the Kings teams Carr played for enjoyed outstanding seasons. He was a charismatic player on the ice, featuring his trademark blonde hair along with being a fast and flashy skater. Off the ice the native of Canada took to the Southern California lifestyle where he enjoyed the music scene and was close friends with accomplished bands. The Kings extend their deepest condolences to the entire Carr Family at this very difficult time.

Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Miller:

Gene joined the Kings during my first year with the Kings. At that time, you were really impressed with how strong a skater he was. In those days players did not wear helmets. One of the big reasons I feel Gene became such a fan favorite was how his golden blonde locks would flow as he skated up and down the ice. Beyond being very recognizable, his personality was outgoing and friendly. From a family perspective, I was happy he connected with a daughter many years later, something he did not hide. Rather he embraced that newfound relationship, even bringing her to a Kings game. I believe it was a role he relished and something special later in life.

More on Gene Carr:

Carr, a center, played in 465 NHL regular season games for the Kings, St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the original Atlanta Thrashers. He began his NHL career with St. Louis during the 1971-72 season and his final NHL campaign came during the 1978-79 season. He totaled 215 points including 79 goals.

From 1973-78, Carr played in 212 games with the Kings and recorded 104 points including 66 assists. With the Kings for parts of five seasons, he set numerous personal milestones. He played in all 80 games during the 1974-75 season, and his 32 assists and 39 points were the most he ever recorded with the club as the Kings earned 105 points that year. Two years later Carr netted 15 goals, another personal-high with the franchise. He also played in 17 postseason games with Los Angeles.

The son of former NHL player Red Carr, his mother was a accomplished speed skater. Gene battled numerous health issues after retiring from his playing career. He split his post-playing days between Los Angeles and Canada.

Gene and his golden flow was a fan favorite at the Forum, RIP.

I don't there's much footage of Gene Carr in action, but many have said he was just as fast a skater as Cournoyer, Perreault or Orr.
