Former Los Angeles Kings forward Mike Corrigan, a member of the very first Kings team in 1967-68 who played in 401 regular season games with the Kings, shared even more of his memories of his time wearing the Forum Blue and Gold of the Kings during the 1970's.

He told another story about original owner Jack Kent Cooke and how he helped Corrigan and the players celebrate the birth of Corrigan's son, about a goal scoring slump he fought through and how his wife "helped" him to get out of it in a big way, and a lot more.

OK admittedly I was drawn in by the headline "hot knives"! Los Angeles, early 70's, an honest mistake. Anyways glad I popped onto this article, great stories.

“That’s when they really started going. But when you win a Stanley Cup, that’s just outstanding because it brings everybody in. Tampa Bay did it, and they’re sold out. You’ve got to win and put a good hockey team on the ice. They have that now. But what I look back at is that we started it.â€
