This seems to be turning into the bash former players thread. Serge is playing 26 min a night on a worse team and has 20 points in 28 games, currently 6th on his team in plus/minus (+5), so it's not like plays like this are happening every night. He's definitely taken strides forward from his last year here.
Why bash former players when you can bash the Sabres?
whyEven when Sergachev is on another team we can't acknowledge the mistakes he makes or talk about them. It's lunacy at this point

Don't forget the revolving door bottom six.Half of this is because we want to hope the team was right to move on from these players (admittedly, most of these were forced due to cap restrictions) and that we aren't missing out on anything in their absences.
The other half of this is that most of those key role players from the Cup winning teams have, in fact, been subpar at best and downright bad at worst since moving on. Stamkos is making $8M and he's sitting on 1+3 at even strength in 29 games (his full season numbers last year were 21+21). Of course we all love the guy and everything, but there's no sugarcoating that those numbers are utterly putrid, he's truly an $8M power play specialist. At last check, Pally and Killer aren't exactly showing great stats for their salaries either. It's basically Sergachev and Colton who are looking good, but maybe Sergy is one of those guys who needed a change of scenery to grow. It didn't feel like he was improving here, it felt like he'd hit his ceiling and it wasn't enough for the contract he has.
Because bashing the weak and helpless is traditionally frowned upon in society.
Sergachev was never going to justify that contract without PP1 minutes. And those are hard to come by behind Hedman. Even at 34.Half of this is because we want to hope the team was right to move on from these players (admittedly, most of these were forced due to cap restrictions) and that we aren't missing out on anything in their absences.

People try to justify their horrific takes. The previous page actually made me laugh out loud, those trying to discredit Sergachev. Just pitiful. This seems to be turning into the bash former players thread. One thing that I’ve learned about this board is that there’s multiple things to enjoy about hockey. On the one hand you have sick shit like kuch making dope ass passes, different defenseman making booming clappers, point going around all fast and zipping around like a zipping thing and deking guys asses off, one dude beaking off at another cat, guys punching each other, blowing up the goalie and he might be dead, etc., and on the other hand you have posters here that are watching other teams feeds like theyre on the spectrum trying to find highlights of them making mistake and compulsively posting them here and just awaiting the likes.People try to justify their horrific takes. I deliberately didn't answer and let the thread speak for itself better than I could. You see why
