Do Bills and Steelers win this weekend?

Being a Bills fan feels eerily similar to being a Leafs fan. They find excruciatingly painful ways to lose big games.

Sigh.
Where does that one rank?
They've had 3 heartbreaks that I recall.
How would you rank these?

Norwood wide right
Music City Miracle
Mahomes 13 seconds

Guessing they all tie for first.

Maybe it's recency bias, but last night hurts the most for me. They would have had their easiest path to the Superbowl in recent memory if they just got one stop in the final 13 seconds.

As a Buffalo fan, it hurts to lose that one.

As a sports fan, I think that game is in my top 2 of all time along with the Denver Green Bay Super Bowl.

Perhaps most importantly, it's a complete travesty that a coin flip can play such a huge role in deciding the outcome of a NFL playoff game. They need to change that rule immediately, IMO there is absolutely no excuse for not doing so.

I can't kill them for going with the sure thing on the kickoff. If the Bills D had made one good play after that, they almost certainly win.
Yep the D could certainly have bailed them out.
Have to say I haven't seen anyone say that the kick through the end zone was the right call.

But they all started saying it after the madness that followed. Monday morning QBing 101.
Think they mentioned on the telecast and everyone I was chatting with watching mentioned it. There really wasn't much time for opinions to be put out there, it was only a few minutes.

Norwood is a pure miss which happens but at worst time possible in biggest game possible

Music City miracle was a forward pass which with cameras today would have been reversed

Mahomes loss is entirely on coaching staff for p*s poor specialty teams and defensive game calling (I realize this situation hardly ever comes up but a non football gal my wife was asking me why they didn't double every eligible receiver and force a long throw into coverage or force a Mahomes run which would have killed clock out) .. I myself don't understand why you don't line up 3 on line, which is required by rule, and then drop at least 2 into coverage???????????????????????????????

You're right, that would have been overturned today.
Crazy game.

I had to rewatch Jays 2015 Game 5 highlights and Kawahi last second shot to make myself feel better haha. But this is doom and gloomy but now going forward I expect Bills to lose in playoffs same way I expect Leafs to lose. Thankfully Raptors won that 2019 championship or Id 100% say the region is cursed

Another reason a squib was not a good option: KC could just fall on the ball giving themselves up losing no time and possibly having better field position than the 25.

Bills did the right thing taking the sure result. Their D not making a play is what did them in.

Agreed, any play that isn't executed correctly probably won't work out well.
The assumption is they would have executed the squib correctly which would have at a minimum had them start inside their 25.

Only thing we know for certain is that kicking the ball through the end zone gave KC as much time as possible, that was guaranteed.

I've gone back and watched the end of that game three times now. It was pure insanity and a pretty perfect example of why there is no drama like pro sports.

Watching the Bills and their fans begin to celebrate, knowing what is about to happen, gave me such perverse pleasure! I'll never fully get over the experience of the Leafs losing to Boston in Game 7 in 2013, but last night I got to experience the other side of that moment and let me tell you...it is pure joy and exhilaration! I'm still on Cloud Nine.

haha game 7 2013 destroyed my enthusiasm for the Leafs. The continuous choke jobs since has essentially made me numb to them losing playoff round so much so that I expect them to lose this year in round 1.

Sunday Night gave me the exact same feelings as that 4-1 blown lead 9 years ago and immediately soured my mood on the Bills going forward as well. Judging from the blue print of the Leafs, the Bills will wallow in playoff purgatory where they look good but find hilarious ways to choke the game away. Leafs and Bills are such garbage franchises when it comes to giving their fans a winning culture. Ill stay loyal but mostly because its hilarious to watch your favourite teams find new ways to choke.

on the flip side Raptors and Jays have allowed me to experience the other side so I know it exists haha. However those two teams didnt have the extreme baggage the Bills and Leafs have (0-4 Super Bowls, longest Stanley cup drought in NHL)

Crazy game.
Crazy to think how that one moment basically erased one of the most baffling coaching decisions in league history. Flutie should've started that game. It's still an all time baffling move and Johnson was the reason the Bills were in a 9-0 hole early (took a dumb safety to fall behind 2-0 which gave the Titans life - they would immediately score a TD on their next drive).

Great memory. I don't remember anything from that game other than the last play and watching Bills fans around me lose their minds.

What minds? lol

I kid....for the record, I was pulling for the Bills then.

San Fran vs KC - should a great Super Bowl
Both San Fran and KC should win very easy this weekend in blow outs
Too bad best matchups were last weekend
Buffalo like many times in past are just 2nd best team
But no one remembers da 2nd best team

Not sure I agree with SF winning very easily or in a blowout. They've been successful in both meetings this season against the Rams but neither of those were elimination games. The Super Bowl being played in LA should also provide extra motivation. All that said, let's go SF!!! I'd be thrilled with a rematch from two Bowls ago against KC (hopefully with a different result this time though :naughty:).
