I used to enjoy watching this podcast until the Andrew Shaw episode where Nilan and Shaw were essentially victim blaming the Beach situation. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable.

Missed that episode, it's personally my favourite habs related podcast.

Always loved Nilan's passion on and off the ice. A genuine hab through and through.

Damn, he didn't enjoy his stay in Chicago, like at all, was emotional about it
Feels like he resuscitated here
Yeah and was emotional talking about his knee injury it seems.

Hope he's gonna be back better than ever.

The guy is made of glass. Too bad because he could easily be our #1 centerman for years to come if he would not be injured seriously every single season.

Summary:

Kirby went through a few dark weeks post-injury, feeling sorry for himself and wondering why this shit keeps happening.

Was grateful for his Mom coming to town to help him with groceries and daily life, and for his teammates. Different vibe than in Chicago, where it was a mix of older guys. He's friends with the guys here, nothing but good things to say about Caufield and Slafkovsky.

As of December he feels good, ready to skate, although the trainers wouldn't let him. He's working on his muscle groups and watching his diet, making slow and tedious progress.

It's an informative interview but wish they cut the language back some. Many kids be watching and he's representing the CH.
The ship has sailed on language containment, for better or worse. The internet is way too vast and varied to keep people insulated from four-letter words. Parents have much more to shield their kids against than previous generations did; better to focus on the far more amoral and threatening garbage out there.

I find the episodes with the older retired guys to be more fun, but I think the current players generally get more clicks.

The current players seem to be more filtered (and for good reason).

That was really good. He's super comfortable talking to media (more so than Suzuki/Caufield at least).

I like that he reaffirmed that he sees him and Suzuki as a two headed monster for years to come.

Him and Slaf in the top6 will win a lot of puck battles.

Ended up listening to it and it was a really good listen. I like how authentic Dach is. He said Slaf would ask him for pointers about his game this fall. He also hinted he thought he wasn't ready his rookie year and would have benefited from going back to juniors. Development staff seems to help the players. Clearly management and MSL has the trust of their players.

Well, usually it falls on the parents to do that job. It's not a podcast for kids.
