Zibanejad literally looks like he’s in space jam and the Monstars sucked all his talent out of him. Why is the OT PP just endlessly setting him up for shots when he shanked every single one of them? They were running the PP with him as the trigger man and he looked like a ECHLer everytime. I know he’s struggling and important to the team but why is he even out there? Kakko should’ve been on that PP.

How about using Lafreniere in OT before using Kevin Rooney? And why the f*** is Bitetto out there in OT? I know we’re short handed but just rotate Fox and Lindgren. It’s 3 on 3, you’re better going 3 forwards than having Bitetto out there.

But he kinda was on that upward trajectory even from 2 years ago. Maybe he overachieved on 40 goals but I think him being labeled an overachiever is a bit disingenuous.

Even if we look at least year as a career year, or an over-achievement, his play the previous season and a half should still have him in the 70-80 point range.

So even if Mika is "only" 70 percent of the player he was last year, that's a game changer for this club.

Oh completely... But we all had to know the youngest team in the league might have issues. We are missing a 2C and 1LD, have a 1C hurting, etc... think about where this team would be with those holes filled... but this is a rebuild

The PP doesn't require nearly the skating or stamina needed, this has nothing to do with Covid. Zibanejad is just a head case. I'd feel bad for him if he weren't a multi-millionaire athlete.
