so what does this do to the teams cap. is that money counted against until its settled ?
ps i thought they had already filed tbh
He’s off the cap for now, but a settlement would put him back on it, so they will need to be cognizant of that. They’d probably be five if they only take half if it.so what does this do to the teams cap. is that money counted against until its settled ?

Since Nashville is on the hook for half of his deal, has anyone heard how they feel about all of this? I’m positive Trotz would have his two cents in on this situation. He’s off the cap for now, but a settlement would put him back on it, so they will need to be cognizant of that. Haven’t heard anything. He is off their cap too but they don’t have a seat at the table.Since Nashville is on the hook for half of his deal, has anyone heard how they feel about all of this? I’m positive Trotz would have his two cents in on this situation.
Would the Flyers do this without conferring with the Preds? You’d think that both clubs would be working this togetherHaven’t heard anything. He is off their cap too but they don’t have a seat at the table.
They probably told them. Unless they give the Flyers a kickback, they are at the mercy of the situation.Would the Flyers do this without conferring with the Preds? You’d think that both clubs would be working this together

The injury had nothing to do with the Predators. They don’t have a role in this.If there's a hearing, wonder if Trotz will be called to testify to Johansen's health on the cusp of the trade. That's about the only role for Nashville. "He looked fine to me."
Probably quietly settle the matter, NHLPA probably knows Johansen was pulling a fast one, but doesn't want a precedent set breaking contracts for fraud, and the Flyers just want him to go away and salvage whatever cap room they can garner out of this proceeding.
He played every game for the Preds up to the trade, so their role is to provide evidence that he was healthy enough to play. Don't know what the rules of evidence are in this kind of proceeding, but that would be their "role."The injury had nothing to do with the Predators. They don’t have a role in this.
