Today's my fantasy lines for opening day go:

Lindblom-Giroux-Konecny
Raffl-Couturier-Voracek
Weal-Patrick-Simmonds
Lethera-Flippula-Weise

I'd like to see your Line 1 and Line 3 in action but not a fan of Line 2 and Line 4. Filppula is not going to play on the 4th line. He's better than that. Raffl is not good enough to play big minutes at ES which is what Coots will get.

Read and either Lehtera/Weise as extras

I do agree that Flippula won't be asked to be used as a 4C, but do you think that Flippula over Raffl as 2LW with 14 and 93 makes that big of a difference?

I think you can read into the forward trios. On D it looks like they just paired up the 4 kids trying to make the team with 4 returning vets...and Gudas got Brennan.

You could see that coming from rookie camp, too many centers, too many LH shots, MV has a better shot at RW than center.

Makes sense, while you want to look at the kids, there's limited time to figure out line combinations before the start of the season, so you want the NHL guys playing together to see what works.
