Would they turn over their team to a promising but still untested Spencer Knight (in the playoffs), or have to go out and find a good veteran to platoon with him? Dumping a goalie is a tough way to clear cap when the move usually requires another to replace him immediately.Surely we would have to take some contract(s) back, but a Cup winning goalie won't be that difficult to move in a league desperate for goalies
I don't see this as the move they are going to make, not with the season Bob has had, and not with the hardware that he's likely to haul in later this month.
