After losing in 5 games and arguing non-stop the entire time, can you please admit that Florida is the better?

Are you going to lose with dignity and grace?

I will the second you admit the Leafs are a better team than the Sens.

Can we stop to celebrate that not only did Toronto lose again, but the Florida draft pick that Habs fans thought would be a lottery pick is now pick #29-32? It's rare that the Habs and Leafs BOTH lose so badly at the same time, but I'm here for it.

Tavares, Matthews, Marner = a shocking waste of $30+ million dollars. They deserve to shoulder this blame from their ghostly performance.
Very few of us would not make this trade 10 times out of 10, my dude.

Mid-to-late 1st round picks are gambling with free money. The Leafs losing is priceless.

On another note, can anyone show me footage of the disallowed goal where it actually shows the puck over the line? I've found nothing yet showing a conclusive goal but all I read is highway robbery from the timeless victims fanbase.

I think the series was definitely closer than 4-1 and most people would agree it was a tight series where the Leafs didn't have the same killer instinct from the first series while the panthers did. Leafs also didn't pounce on mistakes like the Panthers did (and/or mixed in with Bob playing great).

Going into the series I thought I'd hate Tkachuk by the end of it. I was mistaken... I'm definitely not a fan of the results and thought he was a bit reckless in the series, but I mostly respect Tkachuck and Bennett's games as they play extremely hard (Bunting crosscheck was over the line, Knies incident was a minor penalty/playoff hockey with an unfortunate result).

However, I strongly dislike Gudas. His reaction to the game winner at Woll, elbow to Marner at the end of the 3rd, hit on Kampf and a few other runs he took were awful. Can't believe he didn't get an interference penalty on the game winner.

Panthers forecheck is ferocious and the Leafs took too long to figure out how to deal with it (never fully did, but they were totally overwhelmed for large parts of games 1-3 and improved in 4&5).

Wish the best for Florida moving forward, but I'll definitely cheer for Carolina since Florida bounced us and I've always been intrigued by Carolinas style of play.

Always liked Verhaeghe, but of course he'd be the biggest thorn in our side. Montour is a beast and I think he was definitely the best Florida skater in that series.

What you said has nothing to do with anything.

Your team lost. No idea why you bring the Senators into this?

That is so random.

Alright, fine.

I will the second you admit the Leafs are a better team than Tampa. It's not fair to compare second round playoff teams to lottery teams.

Everyone needs to recite this response to the infinite amount of complaints/excuses Leafs fans are going to be spewing for the next few months.

Months......try decades.

But what would you expect from the fans of an organization that has never won more than two playoff series in a single season.......not once!!!

Thank You Panthers! I love to see Leaf fans crying in their beer again :)
Our greatest memories are sweeping your team in the playoffs yearly, and watching your team fail miserably to make a playoff appearance year after year. Hope whoever buys you out buries you even deeper. Theres only 1 relevant team in Ontario, no matter how much we flop.

That didn't lead to a goal. I'm not even talking about missed calls throughout the game, like the elbow on Marner at the end of regulation.

This is a missed call directly causing the OT winner by not allowing the defensemen to deflect or interfere with the shot

Puck may or may not have been over the line, but I'm suprised the NHL hasn't done more to try and solve this issue which pops up multiple times in each playoffs.

Yes, current ball tracking technology only works with a sphere, but there has to be other options to look into.

I feel bad for Leaf haters, especially the usual posters. They won't get to watch and discuss their favourite team anymore.

Auston Matthews was quiet in the series against Florida. Why?

I have been told he was either the best or second best player in the world?

Was it injuries? Lack of clutchness? Something else?

What stopped Auston?
Not his best series which I would partially contribute to a likely wrist injury. Would explain why he took more slapshots given they put less stress/pressure on the wrists. However, superstars need to find a way to will their team to win. He did that a few times in the first round, but was only decent in the 2nd round (great defensively, meh offensively).
