Pathetic losers? The Panthers are damned good. They will give the Hurricanes a very, very hard series. And the winner of that series will win the cup convincingly. The teams in the West won't be able to keep up with the speed or coaching of either of these teams.

My novice prediction is the Canes win the Cup convincingly even without Svechnikov. With him they would be 12 - 0 right now.

Yeah they went out like losers. No fight at all for a team that's struggled this badly and hasn't won anything.

Yes the East will win again.

Number one centers don't grow on trees and the last one to come out of the B’s system was Seguin over a decade ago. You can say what you want about Matthews compete level but unless you are prepared to see the current B’s core age away/get traded or get lucky in a tank season the B’s need a top caliber C and need to be crafty on involved in every possible discussion.
The Leafs needed to trade Marner a long time ago to a team that needed a talented offensive guy. They have too many guys like him on that roster. Junior dominant hands, junior dominant skating, lacking NHL balls. They need a guy like Scheiffele with size and talent, minus the giant ego and douchebaggery.

"We don't care about what you guys say. We're just focused on ourselves in here."

was there some kind of beef between Gudas and Woll, I saw Gudas do this after the goal and I thought I was seeing things or it was a weird angle, it was actually much worse

I saw it live and knew exactly what he was doing. I think his excitement got the best of him and he just wanted to let out some frustration on the rookie.

It went over the line but the ref said they blew it dead so the goal didn't count. I think it was an early whistle and a goal, but since the ref blew it dead no goal. Point for the lightning scored an even more obvious goal that the leafs benefited from being taken off the board. Points goal was less controversial but leafs fans were happy to have the early whistle then.

Do you know anything about Scheiffele? Dude is lazy and selfish. One dimensional.

The internet is exploding, saying the Maple Leafs got screwed. Saying Toronto had a goal disallowed.

I couldn't watch the game due to other commitments. I only watched the overtime.

I don't feel like going through hundreds of posts.

Does anyone have evidence that Toronto's goal should have counted?

How is this not a goal?

Because Bobrovsky froze with the puck stuck wedged under his skate on the goal line until the whistle blew. Once the play was conclusively dead, he pushed with his skate in order to stand up, the puck went with it into the goal.

This really isn't that complicated. It may or may not have crossed the line in play at some point, but there wasn't any angle shown that could prove that.

Just look at your DVR'ed copy of the game. Bobrovsky freezes until after the play's blown dead and everyone's stopped playing. That's when he goes to stand up and the puck comes loose.
