This would be a trade for the ages! Who would do it. This trade would only go through if Edmonton cant convince McDavid to extend and he agrees to talk with Florida about an extension?

Florida get:

Connor McDavid 12,5M UFA 2026 (agreed extension 15M x 7yrs)

Edmonton get:

Anton Lundell 5M UFA 2030
Eetu Luostarinen 3M UFA 2027
Niko Mikkola 2,5M UFA 2026
Dmitry Kulikov 1.15M UFA 2028

The trade is essentially Top-end talent for REALLY GOOD depth. Oilers get extremely good 2-way players locked in, buy looses the best player in the game. Who would do it?

Any other team would match that.
Would they? You do understand that this trade is based on McDavid not resigning in Edmonton and he can choose where he goes? I doubt he would go to the team that offers the best package - he would probably be chasing a cup if this would happen?
You should also follow Florida games - This package isnt exactly shit. 2C, 2-3rd line W, 4D and 5D locked up for peanuts.

Yeah, unless Connor said Florida and only Florida. In that case I guess you'd have to take it.

I don't see the point in this. It's only under that one scenario this happens. And if it's that scenario.... Why are we here.

Seriously?

Florida GM calls Edmonton GM and mentions said offer.

Edmonton GM “Bro I already turned down a team that offered 5 1st round picks and a top prospect. Good luck tho with Kulikov. I’m sure he’s in high demand”

I see you dont understand what NMC - "No Movement Clause" mean? Doesnt matter what anyone offers if McDavid isnt in on it. Oilers have no say to whom he is traded, if he doesnt wanna go there. It helps to know what kind off contracts players have!

How many 1sts are also included?

That offer isn't enough for McDavid.

And as hard as it sounds. I don't think McDavid would make Florida better as a team. He is far from the identity they are having right now. You need to be a good two-way player, great hitter, mouth trasher and have a intense way of playing up your face style.

Lol at locked up. One guy is signed for one year and another guy for two. This deal is exactly shit. It's lundell and luostarainen for one of the top 5 players of all time in his prime

before clicking into this thread i thought it would be based around something like mcdavid for barkov+

of course this is hf where its garbage proposals 95% of the time
