Glenn Hall played 502 consecutive games.

Roy, Luongo, Fuhr, etc use to play 60+ games easily

Fuhr played 78 and would have played all 84 (pretty sure it was that year), but he got hurt.

This new training seems to be limiting players more than helping them
Healthy Carey Price was playing 60+ games. He had a season of 72 games (not all starts but still 4206 minutes).

Hey i'm all in with Monty too, it's not like we have any other choice.

But in Brodeur's case it was probably easier playing all those games with Niedermeir and Stevens in front of you unstead of Savard and Matheson :laugh:.......not to mention Lemaire defensive structure versus MSL.
Yeah... Devils' D at that time was a tad better.

Not only do we beat the Pens today but at the end of the game Crosby just says screw it, and joins us to replace Dach on the 2nd line

After the first period no less. Plays 1st period as a Pen, Habs go up 4-1 after 1. Crosby forces a trade during the 1st intermission, and he come out in the 2nd wearing le blue-blanc-rouge.

is it a shot across the bow at Laraque that they'd rather pay PJ fkn Stock to give our boys fighting tips?

This is the third and last time the Habs play the Pens this season, the first team they are finished with. They also play the other teams in the Metro three times each. That is the same number of games they play against Boston & Tampa (they play the other 5 teams in the Atlantic four times each). Do they really need to play the other conference home and away each year (32 games or 39% of 82 games)? The schedule certainly doesn't promote divisional rivalries in my opinion.

We're probably losing this one 5-3. Slaf with two points, Hutson continues his point streak and an Anderson goal.

Hoping for a win though.

I would have to answer yes, especially for the orignal 6 teams that have huge followings in those markets.

Also in terms of superstars around the league, imagine getting to play the Islanders-Sabres and Columbus extra times at home but not seeing the likes of McDavid, Bedard, Celebrini and other stars at least once a year? Would suck if you ask me.

I think the schedule is good the way it is and with the new playoff format that's how you create even more rivalries IMO

Yeah but there were some playoffs where price didn't even finish the series, and others where he didn't finish the regular season.

Winnipeg has played hellbyuck with well over 60 starts consistently, and I've speculated that this total should be shaved down in an attempt to get better playoff performances out of him.

That's probably a consideration by the league. Makes little sense to me that divisional games have less of an impact on the divisional races themselves (26 games of the 82) then the games against the other conference.

Jersey literally blocked every shot. Then you had Brodeur stopping the rest. He was one of the few goalies I’ve seen who could stay focused with so few shots. He’s perhaps the best goalie I’ve seen. The guy almost never made a mistake.

Was more a shot at him being a Bruin than anything else. PJ was good at staying alive against guys who could kill him, from what I remember. It's not a bad skill to take on.
I'm sure PJ Stock is a good guy but I hated him as a commentator. And he really went out of his way to troll Hab fans.

I think years ago, people complained to the league that they did not get to see some of the stars in the opposite conference enough.....and that's why they do what they do now.

I agree, the in division rivalries suffer..........not to mention how the games within your division are so spaced out at times...............

He does seem like a real jerk..................and he could very well be a nice guy, who knows.......but I wouldn't mind seeing someone punch him in the face!! In the face!!! LOL
