He's relying on his reach instead of his legs saying this has to be coached out of him.

Losing is expected in a rebuild but this quitting crap is unacceptable. Losing 9-2 in your own building against an equally bad team is too much.

Marinaro read a tweet quoting Jake Evans, something to effect that "guys quit after 4th goal"... don't remember the exact quote and don't care to rewatch the whole hours of TM and Pierre. I remember Max Lapierre going off ranting how these guys make millions and basically have no right not to give 100% effort while there are people struggling to make ends meet.

If some basically gave up playing, there is no way that should be left like that and go back to next day practice business as usual.

I noticed many times that he also slows down going into a hit, which greatly diminishes the impact. Like you can literally see him putting on breaks. The dude should be ramming through most of the opposition given his size. I get that man strength comes a bit later, but you gotta commit to that hit. Just like you do to a bunker shot and follow through

We haven't scored more than 3 goals in regulation in nearly a month. The offense is literally just Suzuki and Caufield. Laine outside of the PP hasn't been pretty but he's at least doing something useful with all the time he's missed (Dach should take notes). The Evans/Gallagher run was nice and still useful, but their offense has drastically fallen off to nobody's surprise.

Newhook, Slaf, and Dach are killing the season. Monty's game was not good, but he essentially got us the last 3 wins.

Checking is an art that Slaf hasn't mastered nor has our forward group as a whole.
It's one of the reasons we are considered soft.

Actually Lane Hutson is a better checker than most of our forwards because he knows how to turn pucks over.
If our forwards were continually turning pucks over using their bodies no one would say we are soft.
The thing is you don't have to drive players into the middle of next week to be effective just get the damn puck.

I think Gally has wound down a bit.
He still goes for it but he just isn't getting there or executing like earlier this season.
Lot of whiffs from Gallagher lately or getting caught from behind before he can make his play either shoot or pass.

Everything points back to what Max Lapierre has been saying since like game 5.
We are too slow as a team we aren't going to be able to support so many turtles.

Most of our D are terrible. Pray that Reinbacher pans out, because our only real top 4 D for the future are Ghule and Hutson right now. There's also hope for Mailloux and Engstrom, but they are 2nd or 3rd pairing. Wifi can stay as #6 for now, but we'll need that D to develop properly for the next two years to have any chance at a good team. Btw, every time I listen to Robidas doing interviews, I question his competence as a coach. Our young D have not been progressing much since he's come on board. Some even regressed.

In all seriousness nobody should expect a prospect progression to be linear (just like the team in general). If it happens great, but more often it doesn't.
