He played like poop all night and when we needed a contact goal, you put him on the PP1 instead of Hutson, Marty? WTF!
I dont think I have ever seen a worse performance from a NHL player like tonight from Matheson.
Instead of cutting his ice time, Marty put him everywhere, PK, PP1, PP2...

In a vacuum, guys like Dvorak, Gally, Anderson, Matheson, Armia, etc are all serviceable players, but all of them on the same team is just not good enough.

Oh well, hopefully Demidov, Hage, Fowler, 2025 1st, Beck and co will make this team watchable in the future

It drives me completely mad that Matheson consistently gets PK time. Both first goals scored were 100% his fault for being a shit defenseman. Dude gets rewarded CONSISTENTLY for being horrendous. He must be a hell of a good dude to get this kind of treatment.

Anyways, I thought that they would lose after getting 3 straight PPs and not being able to convert on any of them (not even getting a decent chance). But I didn't expect it to be by 7 goals lol

That kind of loss is hella embarassing and should NOT be ignored.

The only good thing that will come out of this is that Dubas will think his team is good and trade whatever little assets they have left for reinforcements. In 3 years, the Pens will move.
