Hoping for the best for the people out there, looks like an ugly situation. Lots of shit just seems to be on fire every year now.
That it's a Flames in LA game a bit of an unfortunate irony.

nope. OC is quite a ways south from where the fires are burning

Good, if not obvious, call by the NHL. Hoping for the best for all affected in that area.

Slightly sad that there can be no relevant headline the following morning in the sports section of their local news with the headline "L.A. extinguishes Flames", though.

Yep. Been here 40 years and wind is a feature but never anything like this.
