Florida killed it this offseason, but IMO they had to. The Bolland contact hurts, and Lou's contract isn't going to look pretty heavy in a few years time. I think they're banking on Reimer to cement himself as a #1 goalie when Lou retires.

You would be correct. He probably has 2-3 years left. Baseless thought to be honest, but many feel the same way.

This is Florida's best signing/resigning in the off season imo

can floridas management stop being the best in the nhl for just a minute

Ye look at their contracts. Only one bad contract and thats Bolland and thats done in 3 seasons and he is injuried all the time so wouldnt be a surprise if he is turns into a 2 or 3 years LTIR guy.
All other contracts are very good for them. Yandle is high but he has earned it and puckmoving, great skating defensemen usually hold the level into their mid 30s. Dont think thats a bad contract at all either. Loved him in NYR and could never understand why he didnt get more defensive sone starts. He is great at breaking out of the sone, the odd horrible turnover but thats what you get with puckmoving defensemen. Have a great young core and many good veterans who still are very productive and good twoway players. They are really building a team the perfect way thru the draft and adding solid experienced players without overpaying. Leafs can learn alot now when they are rebuilding by the way Florida has built their team. Oilers aswell but they are just all over the place and Chia isnt excatly a guy known for doing normal things, he is all over the place....

Once Bolland becomes an issue and they need the cap space they can always buy him out too. No need to do that yet. But it's a possibility
