Slovakia should definitely be there as well (if Germany can).
No? Germany has always been a staple, the countries in this February tournament have pretty much always been these five.

Anyway, adding Slovakia would prolong the length of the tournament, not good that is.

Yeah, and humans used to live in the trees at one time as monkeys. Times change, you know? ;)

(Anyway, the main blame must be with Slovak hockey officials if they can't get our national teams to play at more prestigious tournaments.)

Blame? What is there to blame? Prestigious tournaments?

There'll be another five nations tournament anyway that Sweden U19 will attend - in April, that will be played in Slovakia. Last year it was a four nations tournament with Sweden, Czechia, Finland, Slovakia. So wonder who they added.

Blame? What is there to blame?

Can't you read? :) I clearly stated that Slovak hockey officials are the main ones to blame. It's called hockey diplomacy.

When Mordor got kicked out of the European "big 4" tournaments, I would have expected us to get invited there, instead of (say) Switzerland, but nope... We need to keep playing those inferior international tourneys that no one cares about. "Kaufland Cup", FFS. :eyeroll:

Of course, in order to successfully perform at the New Year's World Championship, an addition is required: Špunar ... Hamara, Alscher, Čech, Cibulka ... Kulich, Šapovaliv, Becher, Formánek, Melovský, Rymon, Sapoušek, Slavíček, Hujer
