yes - Fitbit Blaze

yes - it keeps me motivated to keep going. I find that it keeps pretty good track of my HR and I'll admit it, when I reach my "calories burned" goal for the day it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I've owned just about every incarnation of Fitbit tracker. I started with the Fitbit One, then moved to the Flex, Charge, Charge HR and now the Blaze. just yesterday I put in my pre-order for the Ionic because I want one that's water resistant. good timing on Fitbit's part because I was starting to consider getting an Apple Watch instead.

No. Fitbits are terrible for keeping track of your heart rate. You need something with a chest strap. I have a Polar H7. Does a great job.

After a year, my surge is a pos. The band had started to bubble and the battery lasts 1-2 days.

Why would anyone wear a FitBit? Wearing a wristband doesn't make you fit. Practicing yoga makes you fit.

I have a Garmin VivoFit 3. Similar concept. It is nice to see how lazy I've been during the day and it sometimes movtivates me to at least go and take a walk if I haven't gotten all that many steps. Although I mainly wear it because I get points through my work's Vitality program. 5K steps = 5 points, 10K = 10, 15K = 15. There are milestones that give a bunch of points, then points for going to the doctor and other stuff. Easy way to rack up Amazon gift cards.
