He still has another gear I tbink

Both Matthews and Marner do. Downgrade from Hyman to Bunting hasn't helped either player. The chemistry just seems a bit off this season compared to last. Not complaining about the season Bunting is having, but the downgrade is noticeable.

Have not noticed it much myself thus far... the pesk attitude of Bunting has given the leafs more of an edge too. Hyman worked his tail off but soft as hell too.

Both happy with and for Bunting but he's a definite downgrade from Hyman. He's just a much less of a downgrade than a $0.95M player should have been. He's a terrific signing regardless of what happens the rest of the way. My lone criticism of the player is that it's worrisome he always seems on the verge of a speed wobble and a really dangerous tumble into the boards.

Couldn't disagree more with this, I love what bunting has brought to the line. Hyman was a little too gentlemanly.

Bunting has an edge to his game that this team needed and I think more room to grow offensively from here.

But either way grats to Matty

Hyman soft as hell? I feel likes he's the opposite. Gritty, hard nosed, will fight.

Completely disagree with bunting and Matthew’s not having chemistry. They were starting to gel before protocol. I think as a trio they can hit another level but that line has been pretty good.

Hyman doesn't hit people, his job is literally to eat the puck and get hit. He's not a physical presence that anyone is scared of or intimidated by, he's just really annoying to play against because of his work ethic.

He doesn't hit a ton but he does hit. Had over 100 hits in his last 3 full seasons. He wears guys down. He will fight as needed. There's alot less fights now.

My point was he's not soft as hell. I think that's pretty obvious.

I think with this you would come with moments in certain games that you knew were a turning point. You have the pike but it's headless.
