I'm going to my first Rangers game at the Garden!!! I'm flying in tomorrow from Arizona because I'm visiting Hofstra University on Friday, I saw that the Rangers were in town and I just got my tickets!! I'm so excited because the Rangers have always been my second favorite team and I have always wanted to see them play at MSG!..Just had to share the excitement:laugh:

Hilarious username

I went to the Coyotes Rangers game a few weeks back. One of the best games I've seen at the garden and one of the most exciting games this year (probably not for you though).

Let us know how it went.

My first game is a distant memory now. Against the Flyers in early 80's. Went to the bathroom and 4 drunk blueseaters were peeing on a guy with a Flyers jersey on. It was scary but memorable...

Alas, that no longer exists at the Garden...

Have a great time!

I was there too, had my sister frame the Lundqvist poster they gave out.

That was my first NY Rangers game, fulfilled a long held wish to see the Rangers playing, was my first visit to the city.

God willing, it won't be my last :)

Was also there, easily my best game to date and the only time I've seen a ROW.

How many games have you been to that this was your first ROW? I think this was my first OT win. I did see an OT loss. I've actually been ridiculously lucky with the games I've been to. I looked at the poster from that game and 2 of the games that were listed there unbeknownst to me, I've been to. The 5-4 OT loss against the Pens which was the most shots Lundqvist saved in a game (I assume in the regular season). The other was his 200th win that I had no idea was his 200th win. 4-3 shootout win against the Kings in 2011 I think.

I've been to five, all this year. Four of them have gone to OT. Only other win was the shootout win vs Calgary.

The Rangers have had 11 games go into OT total. It's actually 7 in total at home. So the probability of having 4 out of 5 games go into OT is about 0.4%.

Yeah I said the same thing HFBoards poster Kreider at the game lol. I was actually complaining that it went to OT because I needed to catch a train. But it was worth it to see Girardi tie it late and McD win it in OT.

I was so excited to make that post that I didn't realize it made no sense. That's 7 in total AT HOME. That's really crazy that you managed to see 4 OT games.

My first game I ever went to was opening night October 10, 1973 against the Wings. The Rangers won 4-1. I went with my dad and we sat in Section 413 and paid $5. I still have the ticket stub. I was 10 years old then but I seem to remember just going up to the box office before game and purchasing tickets for opening night(things have changed a little since then)!

While we're at it, my first game was in October of 99, I was 13, I took my dad for his birthday, I think it was from the money that I got from my birthdays and stuff. We lost to the Flyers 2-0. I didn't go to another game till a 3-1 win over the Penguins in 2005/06 (probably 05). Terrible first game experience. I have since then seen the Rangers only get shutout once against the Flames. I still remember that it was in November 2008 because the Giants just lost a horrible game where they scored like 3 points against the Eagles in one of the best regular seasons in their history. Then I watched the Rangers lose 3-0 to the Flames but did get to hear some sloppy seconds chants!
