There seems to be fewer people playing our amazing awesome First Goal game despite the world being absolutely covered in Kings fans.
Let me encourage you to join in our fun:
1) You can WIN stuff!!!
We collect all the free swag the Kings give away at the games and offer the winner an item their choice. Here's some of what we've collected so far this season:

2) I'm so far behind, I'll never win
Nonsense! The current leader only has 21 points. You can earn up to 5 points every game. There are 59 games left. What are you waiting for??

3) I don't have time to put in my picks
Sure you do! If you have time to read this, you have time to play. I try to put up the thread at least 24 hours in advance. If that's not enough time, PM your picks to me & I'll enter them for you.

4) The Calgary board copied us & I'm playing theirs instead.
What??!!! Blasphemer!! Keep this up & we'll banish you to the Ducks board.

This is why I stopped playing during last season. I tried changing my entire pregame routine, wore different jerseys, and, well, you guys know what happened.

Either my abstinence from FGOTG finally started helping this season, or I'm just nuts.

I'll start playing again.
 
Is it okay if I join? I actually do like the Kings and watch their games (have for around 5 years or so and last few years more regularly), just don't post on HFKings 'cause I don't know how widely accepted I'll be...the Canucks board gets mad at me when I'm happy the Kings win...so surely that's gotta count for something. :biglaugh: I'm not here to steal your stuff.

There is nothing wrong with you playing the game, or posting in the Kings forum.

My excuse is that I check hf a few times in the pm at work, but never get around to thinking about the FGG.

Then when I get home, I get drug around doing who-knows-what, and the next thing I know dinner is over it's faceoff time

and if they're on the east coast, I have to pick by 4:00, and I have no idea where I'm gonna be at work.

All lame excuses I know - ... so I will try to take a shot at FGG, to try to win some of this fabulous Kings swag.

and if the nux fan gets to play, he needs to have a handicap of some sort. (must pick FG and dark horse, or similar task) :sarcasm:
 
I've been playing this for a few years now. I like these games and play a few others on the other boards. Right now I'm decimating everyone on the Wild's prediction contest game, somehow.
 
Harrumph. I won one year (Lars H) in the pre-swag era. It's among my proudest achievements.

This year I'm still 0-fer, but it's a long season!
 
I'm playing for the fun of it, and if by some weird odd chance I win; I would rather have the KINGS stuff given to a youngster (maybe another poster children)...!!!
