I’m not arguing your point because of course he is aiming to be his best, etc. but my point was that we don’t know what is going on, so don’t just assume the worst.

Also, you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think each and every guy in the NHL has games where they don’t overly care about the outcome or how much ice they get. Do you give 100% every day at your work?

Anyway, not the point but Merry Christmas to ya filthy animals and may we have a solid second half to the season and all our players find their stride.

Your theory is the 4th line just didn't want to play??? You realize it wasn't just Reichel stapled to the bench?

My "theory" is that we don't have all the information as to why Reichel was on the fourth line and why that line was stapled to the bench in the third, so don't sweat it and call for LuRich's head when we all know nothing beyond what we all watched on TV.

I understand he said "they didn't have it" and despite us all believing they did, but I am going to trust the fact that I don't have all the info and that a guy who played 21 seasons in the league probably has a better idea of the dynamics of the NHL.

1.No one woukd fir a coach who by both design and by unparalleled injury caused roster depletion to even worse talent up front lineup was handed practically nothing to compete with,STILL gets enough resukts from said bad roster to now even threaten over-takibg Anaheim for ONLY 3rd worst team i the League...
IF KR keeps extracting enough poi ts outta crap ,his team might even overtake Ottawa..

So unless you make the case hevis coaching too well and you rather won't a better TABK coach LR has "earned" not to be fired...Coaching too well to extract points from such a nothing lineup his GM has by design +unlucky injuries has given LR such a mess to deal with..

No...the case for firing LR despite the mess given him to work with,is the reality this may be the result:

"With the 6th pick in the 2024 NHL Draft your Chicago Blackhawks are proud to select ________"

Well...it should be only the 3rd or 4th pick of the draft as the bottom potential worst case scenario...
That LR has coached too well to put Hawks in worst case scenario potentially where ONLY 6th pick is the rewardif they RISE to only 4th worst teams going to be hard for suffering Hawks fans to take ...so if KR keeps coaching too many victories which result in standings rise to over-takec2 teams, and tgen bad lotto luck drops them 2 slots, and HawjscgetvONLY 6th overall pick, then sure LR should be fired....for being too good!

They’ve been playing better no doubt. But the fact that it took Bedard getting hurt for them to actually play hard doesn’t sit well with me. What was the coach doing before?

Also timeouts exist.
Foligno actually talked about that in this interview

You are picking your criticisms to suit your argument. It very easily could have gone the other way and I am sure this thread wouldn’t have been so quiet. Fact of the matter is that this god awful team has played very well now for a couple weeks against some pretty good teams, to pretend that coaching has nothing to do with this is silly.

This was a team with a ton of new players to start the season, including significantly more young players compared to last year. An absurd number of injuries exacerbated this issue even more. It’s not a coincidence it took a while for them to come together. Sure losing Bedard may have provided a bit of a nudge, but regardless it was always going to take a while for this team to come together a bit.

LR is not perfect. And I am still holding off judging if he is right for this team longterm until he has more talent to work with. But this rush by a few on this board to completely dismiss him was always premature.

Would you have said they same about Colliton 3-4 years ago? I don't know how to evaluate coaches on terrible teams. Hard to tell where the line is between terrible coaching and a terrible roster, personally

Colliton had significantly more talent to work with. It’s really not close. Not to mention he seemed to be married to a defensive scheme that not only didn’t work, but that the players seemed to actively hate.

Who wins a coaching fight? Richardson or Roy? Maybe add in Berube whenever he gets hired again.
Mike Vernon and Chris Osgood both stood up well to Roy. I doubt they'd have fared as well against Richardson.

Probably heated still after the dreadful slashing call when the Islandee broke his own stick
Yep. Not to mention the atrocious reffing in most every game this season. The frustration builds up.

One thing for sure: it takes a lot for Richardson to get that vocal.

He’s good for the team to tank and is easily switchable, but Kyle on the other hand is gonna ruin this team for many years and Danny is not gonna notice until we have lost another decade of our lives. It’s Stan 2.0 all over again. None of his signings have made much sense monetarily wise, all overpaid.

We are in good hands Kyle learned from the best. You of all people should know that with how big of a fan you were of Stan.

Easy for you to say. Could someone interpret for me?
