Heiskenen is really underrated by the media, imo. He’s got the talent but is a long shot to get in.

I think it’s just the first two. Aho seems like a franchise level not quite HOF guy. He needs a conn smythe to get considered.

Barkov, yes. Rantanen and Aho, no. Saros most definitely no.

Heiskanen does have HHOF potential, but he's also a bit quiet, both playing style wise and personality wise, he probably needs some type of hardware (trophies) or team accolades (Cups) first.

Agree on Barkov and he has the highest likelihood of making the HHOF.

I think Rantanen has the second best chance with his last 8 seasons and playoff resume he already ahs more than some HHOF wingers post expansion.

Heiskanen is on track as long as he stays healthy, already has a 7,10,10 and 12th Norris and could have several more top 10 finishes but harley is coming on strong for Dallas as well.

The best part of Miro resume though is his playoff resume, something which will probably imprve with that Dallas team as he is only 25.

I really like Aho but unless something changes he is going to get lost in the shuffle, just doesn't have that signature season/peak/prime just very good.

Saros is in tough, like previous Nashville goalies he is probably good enough in a vacuum but playoffs and a weak Nashville team right now really hurt his chances.

His bright spot is that alot of goalie experts consider him as one of the best but the team thing will hurt him.

Aho plays in a smaller hockey market and isn't flashy or a huge scorer (he's a very good scorer but not a top ten in the NHL calibre one).

If Backstrom doesn't make it in, I definitely don't see Aho getting in. For that matter, I'm not sure you can put him above guys like Eric Staal and Spezza, and those guys won't be inducted.

Barkov should be lock. Multiple Selkes, Lady Bing, Florida only ever cup as captain. Florida franchise leader basicly in everything. If he doesn't get elected then nobody from Florida will ever do again.

Barkov is a lock.

Rantanen is close to a lock - assume he ends up with 1200ish points and he's in.

I like Saros but I just don't see it happening, awards wise and stats wise on a bad Nashville team - but hey maybe he gets traded and wins a cup and finishes with 350 wins?

Aho is kind of a lesser Rantanen, no Cup but if he hits his numbers then sure.

Heiskanen too early yet. Beyond Barkov stapling his name to the Selke for the next 5 years I think he has the best chance to win a major award.

Voted Barkov and Rantanen.

Aho is about to turn 28 and has put up 283+348=631 points. When Staal turned 28 he had put up 250+324=574 points and Spezza had put up 192+340=532 points. Aho will absolutely put up more goals and points than both Spezza and Staal when it's all said and done. And Aho already has more playoff goals and points at 27 than Staal and Spezza were able to put up in their whole career. Aho is clearly on his way to being a better player than both Staal and Spezza!

Possibly but Staal by that age was already Triple Gold.

Spezza by that age had a top-10 scoring finish.

Staal is likely in, Spezza just misses imo.

Heiskanen can potentially get there but I certainly don’t think he’s on track. Maybe too early to say no, but if he just finishes out his career on the same level he’s played so far, he’s not getting in

Rantanen isn't getting in just because of his recent first round but the way he finished it off is the signature type of stuff the HHOF just loves.

I think all but Saros can get in. The only one I think is nearing becoming a lock is Barkov though. He wouldn't get in if he retired today but just a few more years of productive play/Selkes/team accomplishments and he will be a lock.

Rantanen is slightly behind Barkov but similarly he should get in if he keeps up the production or even close to it for a little while longer.

Miro being 25 is much more of a question mark as who knows how the rest of his career plays out but I think he's got the goods to get in if he stays healthy and doesn't have a big age-induced drop off.

Aho is very underrated but has small market team and lack of individual and team trophies working against him as of now. I think the Canes are a good bet to win at least 1 Cup in his career, certainly no guarantee but if they do that'll help him. He could win a Conn Smythe, maybe a Selke one day, but I don't see any other individual awards in his future, maybe a Lady Byng. That said he can get in on longevity/compiling too, especially with his playoff stats so far. Already has 78 playoff points and will keep adding to that this year. Canes should still be contending for at least another 3-5 years (maybe longer, they are certainly set up will with young core locked up, great cap situation, great prospect pool/young players in system for a contending team). So he could certainly get 150+ playoff points which as of now would be top 30 all time, and should be able to wind up with at least 1200 regular season points too (all but 2 1200 point getters are in HOF or not yet eligible), possibly 500+ goals. All of that should get him in the HOF even without a cup and in a small market, of course requires him to stay healthy and productive into his mid 30s/beyond.

Saros, I don't see it unless he has a Tim Thomas like late career resurgence. Seems to be trending downwards.

I'm not sure why Aho is viewed as better than Saros.. he has one of the hardest workloads among active goalies while he hasn't been as good lately, he has a track record finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th in vezina voting.

Goalies seem to be aging pretty well lately so despite being 29 he could easily have more elite seasons ahead, especially if Nashville gets their shit together.

Whereas Aho's ceiling isn't as high in comparison.. I'm not sure a conn scythe would do it either, he's simply not prolific enough a scorer, and hasn't been good enough to finish as a Selke finalist. Hard to see that changing unless he takes his game to another level.

He would have to either take it to another level as you mentioned or he needs to basically play at his PPG pace in the reg season and playoffs for forever. He has a path but a lot of work to do.

Barkov and Rantanen are headed towards HOF.

Don’t think any of these guys , except most likely barkov, deserve to be in the hhof. Especially when a guy like Patrik Elias is still not in the hhof…
