Finland pp lines?

Anton Lundell, Petri Kontiola, Iiro Pakarinen, Jere Innala, Tony Sund.

That was the other line days ago and it's probably the same still. Could be with a different D-man maybe. The other line had Ruohomaa who is missing now so don't know it. Actually the second unit is missing 3 players now. My logic says that Ruotsalainen, Puustinen, Ojamäki and Kaski should be involved in the units along with the aforementioned players.

So, Tiivola getting some icetime. Pretty expected. Not because Ruohomaa has been bad - maybe a little underwhelming, but not bad by any measure - but because Jalonen likely intends to give all his players a chance in the group stage.

Then again, Rindell is still sitting, which is a little peculiar, especially since he showed tons of promise in the preliminary games. I definitely didn't expect him to be the bottom feeder of this final D group.

Now, this is probably the last game one should be using as a measuring stick for how line combos work or how individual players are doing. If a single Finnish player somehow manages to look bad against this COVID-ravaged Italy, he probably deserves to sit for the rest of the tournament and all his club team games until Christmas. (Knock on wood.)

I had Rindell in my starting top-8 after that nice EHT showing. I would've also expected to see him by now. Quick check on the mirror from Ruohomaa is good and if Tiivola is phenomenal now, let the best center have that last center spot.

MTV3 had a story of how half of current Italy's players are semi professional ice hockey players. I don't know how much color was in that story. They said that one is a painter by profession and one is working at a vine farm or something. So I want to see a 5 goal win margin or I'm not happy.

Seems kinda weird if they picked Rindell just to sit him in the pressbox. This would've been the perfect game to play him.

Italy had their goal disallowed earlier in the game due high stick and it looks this is going to be shutout for Säteri. I'd be surprised if they scored.

3-0 is a disappointment.

For sure, but a win is a win. Deep down it's hard for the players to be motivated against Italy and their covid situation and all that. Three real games coming up soon and there shouldn't be motivation problems anymore.
